From the moment James Kennedy takes his first shot of tequila in his "Don't Expect Downward" music video, information technology's clear that the Vanderpump Rules DJ is trying to make a statement. The visual doesn't just give fans an within wait at a mean solar day in the life of the SURver/musician, information technology likewise gives a glimpse into his creative vision. "I wanted to create something that was super indie, something that looked dissimilar and somewhat abstruse," James told The Daily Dish exclusively via electronic mail. "I'm letting people come up upwardly with the 'storyline' because I wanted things to exist different. The paint at the cease was an abstract take on emotion and how people never want to look 'messy;' it was neat fun to film."

James highlighted the video's key scenes, including that first shot of him downing tequila. So, does he often start his twenty-four hours with something that difficult? "Haha no! It's just a little pilus of the dog if you will," he said, adding that he wanted to "brand the start to the day every bit rockstar as possible."

For the SURver, the garden scene ties into what he believes to be the most legendary scene in the video: James existence splattered with the pigment and confetti. "Well I wanted to seem lost in a world of confusion, collect my thoughts as the music built upward again. The garden scene was shot as one of my favorite places I've always been, The Greystone Mansion, and the pigment scene was really blue glitter mixed with blue paint, nosotros were in the alley backside my apartment," he said of the L.A.-gear up shoot. "The blue paint represents emotions and how the boilerplate person is scared to exist themselves, await messy, and practice something weird. I wanted to make something of fine art; something nobody has seen earlier. Sounds of the music behind the footage create, pure madness."

While much of the video includes James going solo, he does meet upwardly with Max Vanderpump-Todd throughout. "Well Max is my best friend and nosotros do everything together," he said. "As well, he is featured on my album PUMP Sessions, that I wrote and produced myself which will be coming out this calendar month. Max is featured on a couple songs on the anthology 'You Tin can't Expect' and 'Sevii.' Our group together is chosen Lifeguard. We accept a lot of fun making music together."

And, yep, James is already thinking virtually his adjacent video for the vocal "You lot Can't Look." "It's going to be something by the embankment and the ocean, maybe playing live on the dorsum of a semi-truck heading south on [the Pacific Coast Highway], perhaps end[ing] at sunset bonfire beach political party!" he teased. "The possibilities are endless and I am on a mission to ever make my adjacent video more outrageous than the last."Despite the anthology title, Pump Sessions isn't solely focused on Lisa Vanderpump's establishments or famous caprine animal cheese assurance. " The Pump Sessions  album is a compilation featuring these two songs and many more than," James explained. "My main inspiration of the album was the sea and the deep wasters planet Globe has to offering."
